"Thinking of You" card

Because I have so many carts, and I can never remember which carts have the appropriate phrase I'm looking for, I turn to my Cricut Cheat Sheet (available at link noted on cheat sheet). In this case, I was searching for the phrase "Thinking of You" and found several carts with that phrase, 4 of which I currently own. For this particular card, I used the phrase from the Sentimentals cart.

I used a standard Burgundy 4¼ x 5½ card from DCWV Solid Textured Box of Cards and debossed the cover with Cuttlebug's Jules Jewells embossing folder. I punched a border at the bottom edge with Martha Stewart's Deep Edge "Floral Vine" punch.

For the inside top of the card (showing embossed side), I placed a layered butterfly cut from the Sentimentals cart.

The phrase "Always" (shown here on the inside) from the Opposites Attract cart was welded together and layered with a piece of black cardstock and some key-patterned paper from DCWV stack.

I stamped the back with a lovely stamp I got from JoAnn's craft store with my 50% off coupon.

I hope you enjoyed viewing my card and that it will inspire you to create your own wonderful project as well! ♥

*all paper products used in this project are from DCWV (Die Cuts With a View) brand available at any craft store. Acrylic Jewel butterfly and star embellishments are from Dollar Tree stores.

I have the program Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL) and really love it.
I have downloaded many FREE SVG cut files from their web blog to make cards.
There are ◄26 pages► of FREE cuts.
Here is the FREE "Corset" SVG cut:

Also, you can package your SVG files into one SCAL library file to add to the Shapes Library/Tab in "Sure Cuts A Lot (version 2)."

Lacy Labels "Tag" card

I started with a 12x12 peice of beige *cardstock.

This is the screen view of the cut properties showing how I got the desired size of 4" wide by 5½" tall.

Next, I cut a black piece to be layered at a measurement of 3" wide x 5" tall.
I then cut two magenta pieces measuring 2½" wide x 4¼" tall and staggered them.
Last layer is the intricate filigree swirl cut from a key-patterned paper using the "layer" button which measures 2 1/8" wide x 4" tall. The last piece was the heart and the shadow heart at 1.84" x 1.418"

Here is a screen shot of the CDS mat with all cuts laid out:

I used my Cricut Design Studio (CDS) to make a card welding the "tag" shape.

Here is another card I made using CDS and the Lacy Labels cartridge:

October 31st Cricut Cartridge

I couldn't pass up buying this Halloween Cartridge from the Fall Collection (I just love Halloween)! All the cuts on here are very intricate, so small size cuts might not work well on thin paper.

This is a view of the keypad.

Card Back:

I cut a few samples as shown here.

This is the haunted house cut at 4"
I love all the intricate detail.

This is the "Velcome" emblem cut at 4"
I especially like the drippy bloody bottom effect.
(5th row on the keypad, 1st in from the right)

This is the "Happy Haunting" emblem cut at 4"
This would have probably worked better on plain vs patterned paper.

This is the evil Jack cut at 3"
So scary!

Cricut Lite carts

I happened to be in the Mall, and stopped by Walmart.
I had forgotten they have Cricut Lite Cartridges for $39.00, so I bought the last one of the Lite "Lacy Labels."

Can't wait to use it! As soon as I do, I will post my results here.

They come in a nice plastic holder:

Here is what the keypad looks like:

So, unless you have the keypad card handy (shown below),
you won't have a clue which pattern to pick and cut.
