Penny Slider Birthday Card

Here is my version of a penny slider birthday card.

I took a piece of green textured card stock, folded in half, and I cut the slit using my Silhouette Cameo.

I used to use a Popsicle stick as my guide, which has the perfect dimensions for this, but I learned to draw one using my Silhouette. I then cut out a cake file and adhered it to the penny.

I printed the inside of the card using a sentiment from the Silhouette online store, with a black gel pen in my Cameo machine.

I then filled in some of the words with a gold gel pen.

I added some candles (also from the Silhouette online store).

I added a phrase (also cut out with my Cameo), and some rhinestones. This is the finished card.

Here is a great video that can help you get started with your own slider cards.

Cupcake Birthday card

I made a card from a post I saw about a pop-up cupcake birthday card on this blog: http://zakkalife.blogspot.com/

Here is my finished card. I didn't use all the cupcake cutouts as the original card contains. Instead, to add my own personal touch, I embellished it with some spring flowers. I also made an envelope to fit, since it wasn't quite A2 size by using these guidelines: Scorpal envelope tutorial

To download the two-file document for your own card, follow these links.

This is the main card pdf file.

This is part 2 pdf file to cut all the pop-up parts.
